Indiana STD Intensive Course | 1 day
Overview
The Midwest AIDS Education and Training Center (MATEC) has partnered with the New York City STD HIV Prevention Training Center to offer a one-day course for clinical providers who provide STD care in Indiana. Course topics include prevention, diagnosis and management of STDs.

Target Audience: Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Nurses. **
Priority is given to clinical providers.
Agenda: Local STD/HIV experts will present the fundamentals of the following topics - Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment of Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Vaginitis, Human Papilloma Virus, Herpes Simplex Virus, Syphilis, and HIV, as well as practical instruction on Taking a Sexual History and Indiana STD Reporting.
Course includes Continental breakfast/lunch.
Course Objectives
1. Describe current STD screening strategies, diagnostic algorithms, and CDC treatment recommendations.
2. Describe the public health aspects of STD care (e.g. optimal partner management; timely disease reporting).
